CILA RN Nurse Trainer

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled CILA RN Nurse Trainer to join our team. This role supports residents in Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs) by overseeing their health and safety needs, and by training and authorizing non-licensed staff in care-related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois with an active, unencumbered license
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in the past five years (developmental disabilities experience preferred)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to obtain DHS Nurse Trainer Certification within 3 months of hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor the medical, health, and safety needs of CILA residents
  • Complete annual nursing physical, Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST), and Self- Administration of Medication Assessment
  • Oversee medication management, including records, orders, and administration
  • Train and supervise non-licensed staff in medication administration and health-related skills
  • Respond to medical inquiries and emergencies 24/7, as needed
  • Participate in a flexible, full-time schedule with on-call rotation at Bethshan’s Intermediate Care Facility

Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Persons provide services and supports to individuals who have disabilities, served by Bethshan Association in residential settings. Bethshan Association, a Christian non-profit organization, is currently accepting applications for part-time overnight or full-time evening hours in our South Holland location.

Responsibilities include providing individualized assistance and coaching with personal care, meal preparation, leisure activities, transportation, and assistance with other daily activities, as necessary, in order to assist individuals in gaining independence. Paid in-house training is provided. Must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and no lifting restrictions.
